Participating in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) allows Moolah Wireless to offer discounted and/or free services to qualified low-income individuals across the United States. Such a program attempts to reduce the gap in the digital divide between the haves and the have-nots.

As advertised on their website, the free device is an Android tablet with 3GB ram and a 32GB hard drive. It has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The tablet comes with 12 months of service of 3GB of data each month.

Make Money with Moolah Marketplace

The topper on this deal is Moolah’s built-in “Mobile Economy” which gives rewards just for using the tablet. That’s something other free government phone plans don’t have. You could earn $20 to $50 a month. You earn reward points for viewing advertisements.

With the rewards points that you save to the wallet, you can purchase items in the Moolah Marketplace. According to the website, you can purchase gift cards, service upgrades, and more.

Bring Your Own Phone

If you prefer to bring your own phone to Moolah Wireless, just request a free Sim card kit. The activation is free, as is the shipping. Once you activate the sim card you will receive a free phone plan that is replenished every month.

Moolah Wireless Home Internet

If you’d like to sign up for their home internet plan, first check to see if it’s available in your area. Then let them know you are a participant in the ACP Program. Next, select your plan, purchase it and schedule the installation.

Qualifying for Moolah ACP Plans

You qualify for the Moolah ACP program if you or someone in your household participates in one of the following government programs:

  • SNAP / Food Stamps / CalFresh
  • Pell Grant in the current award year
  • Medicaid /Medicare
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Section 8 / Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
  • Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
  • Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program
  • Lifeline

Or, have a household income of 200% or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Signing up for ACP through Moolah

After meeting the above eligibility criteria, go over to the Moolah Wireless website and complete their online application. Along with your application, you’ll need to upload documented proof of eligibility along with proof of identity. If you’re unsure of which documents to use as proof, the Lifeline Support website provides a document listing acceptable forms of proof.

Once your application is processed and approved, you’ll get an email with instructions on how to receive your tablet. If you haven't received the approval yet, you can always check the application status on their website.

Things to Know

  • If you do not use the wireless service for 30 days or more you may lose your ACP benefit.

  • You must recertify eligibility annually to prove you still qualify for the ACP program.
