Walmart Family Mobile Lifeline Plans

Walmart Family MobileWalmart Family Mobile, a part of the Tracfone, SafeLink, and Verizon family and offers discounts as a result of participating in the federal Lifeline program. Being a part of the Tracfone, SafeLink, and Verizon family they sometimes refer to their plans as the “Walmart Family Mobile SafeLink Benefit”. It gets a little confusing because SafeLink seems to offer a different set of Lifeline plans.

Another confusing aspect of their site is the states of operation. On one page they discuss saving an additional $10 every month if you qualify for SafeLink Lifeline. Howver, they mention: "This service is provided by TracFone Wireles Inc. Currently not available in Alaska, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oregon, South Dakota, Virgin Islands, and Wyoming."

unavailable states

But, on another part of their site, they state they offer services in the following states which include the above "currently not available" states:

available states

I find that to be confusing. I guess the only way to know if they offer service in your area is to enter your zip code and see what happens.
