Applying for ACP

After you meet the necessary eligibility criteria, head over to the National Verifier website and apply for benefits. Once approved (which should take about 30 minutes if you have the proper documentation), you're equipped to start receiving discounts.

Whether you are a new or existing internet customer of Xfinity, visit their site and click Apply Now. Or, you can call 844-963-0288. Although the Xfinity website leads one to believe you must enroll in ACP through Xfinity, that is not so. As long as you are approved for ACP benefits through the National Verifier, you are eligible to receive Xfinity ACP discounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use ACP with Xfinity Prepaid?

A: Yes, but keep in mind the prepaid service is only for 30 days. If you decide not to refill your prepaid service for the next month you will be de-enrolled from the Affordable Connectivity Program.

Q: Can I change my Xfinity internet plans and still apply the ACP credit?

A: Yes, you can. However, if you select a plan that exceeds the ACP benefit, you will be responsible for the excess charge.

Q: Do I have to recertify?

A: Yes. You must recertify annually to ensure eligibility for the ACP program. It is important to promptly respond to the recertification notices. You will lose your ACP benefits if you do not respond by the deadline.

Q: What should I do if I move?

Notify Xfinity immediately. Although Xfinity operates in many states, if you move to a state out of their jurisdiction, you will need to find a different phone provider. It’s best to check service availability before moving and not assume Xfinity provides service at the new location. Better safe than sorry.
