Florida: Listing of Free Govt Phone Providers

When this site was first created, the Lifeline program provided free government phones along with free cell service or, if you prefer, you could qualify for a discount on your monthly landline cost. Florida However, fast forward a few years, and a few things have changed. Now, with the creation of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), eligible individuals/households may receive either a free or discounted device (i.e., tablet, laptop, or computer) along with free service.

The plans vary from company to company as do the benefits. If you enroll in Lifeline only, you are eligible for one tier of service. However, if you enroll in Lifeline and ACP, you qualify for broader benefits. The benefits include, but are not limited to a free or deeply discounted device and increased data limits.

Below is a listing of service providers that participate in Lifeline and/or ACP in the state of Florida:

Keep in mind that this list is by no means an exhaustive list of all the free and discounted Lifeline phone providers in the state of Florida, but it is a start. As more providers become available, this list will be updated.

Did you know?Did you know? That according to the USAC, approximately 86% of the Florida households eligible to benefit from the Lifeline and ACP programs have not enrolled. As of January 2023, only 352,422 of the 2,582,596 eligible households are benefiting from the discounted wireless and internet programs.
