Kansas: Listing of Free Government Phone ProvidersIf you live in the state of Kansas and participate in the Federal Lifeline program, you have the opportunity to receive a free government cell phone along with free service (talk/text and data). Now, with the creation of the Federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which replaced the EBB program, eligible residents have the option of receiving a free or discounted device such as a tablet, computer, or laptop. With the device comes unlimited internet service. Because the plans vary from company to company, it is recommended that you review and compare several companies and plans before signing up for one. Below is a listing of phone service providers that participate in the Lifeline and/or ACP programs and services in the state of Kansas:
Companies offering discounted Lifeline phone benefits (not free): The above list may not include all companies providing free and discounted phone service in Kansas, but it's a start. As we become aware of additional companies, they'll be added to the list. Similarly, if the companies no longer operate in the state, we'll delete them. Kansas Lifeline Facts: Did you know that of the over 277,000 Lifeline eligible households in the state of Kansas that only 29,337 households are enrolled? That's about 11% of the eligible population. This information is as of January 2023 and available on the Universal Service Administrative Company's (USAC) website.
