Washington: Listing of Free Government Phone Providers
Low-income residents in the state of Washington have the opportunity to receive either a free or deeply discounted device (with free airtime/texting and data) or a discount on their home landline. These services are made possible thanks to the Federal Lifeline and Federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).
While many Washington phone service providers participate in the Lifeline and ACP programs, you'll soon find that the offers differ from company to company. When researching service providers, make sure to spend time comparing the plans to ensure you select the best plan for your needs.
Below is a listing of phone service providers offering free or discounted government phones and services in the state of Washington:
The above is not necessarily a complete list of free and discounted Lifeline phone providers in Washington. As we come across more providers, we'll add them to the list. We also periodically review the list to remove those providers no longer servicing the Washington area
Washington Lifeline Facts: According to the Universal Service Administrative Company, as of October 2022, only 14% of the Lifeline-eligible households have signed up for benefits. That means 86% of eligible households (approximately 678,000), struggle to pay internet/wireless bills that would be covered by the Lifeline program.
If you know of an individual or household that can benefit from these programs, please share this with them.
