Low-income residents in the state of Washington have the opportunity to receive either a free or deeply discounted device (with free airtime/texting and data) or a discount on their home landline. WashingtonThese services are made possible thanks to the Federal Lifeline and Federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

While many Washington phone service providers participate in the Lifeline and ACP programs, you'll soon find that the offers differ from company to company. When researching service providers, make sure to spend time comparing the plans to ensure you select the best plan for your needs.

For Your InformationWashington Lifeline Facts: According to the Universal Service Administrative Company, as of April 2023, only 15% of the Lifeline-eligible households have signed up for benefits. That means 85% of eligible households (approximately 671,000), struggle to pay internet/wireless bills that would be covered by the Lifeline program.
